SuperStone Color Hardener Technical Data

SUPERSTONE COLOR HARDENER is an intergrind of pure, lime proof, ultraviolet and weather resistant color pigment, cement, graded, hard, non-reactive aggregates and surface conditioning agents which improve the properties of the finished concrete surface. Super Stone Color Hardener is ready to use. It is applied as a dry shake over freshly leveled and floated concrete in medium to heavy duty industrial, commercial and residential areas.

Use SuperStone Color Hardener for bright and deep color selections, for excellent wear resistance and superior concrete stamping characteristics.

APPLICATION/COVERAGE
The sixty pound containers of SuperStone Color Hardener should be broadcast at a rate of sixty pounds per 100 square feet. Light colors and heavy duty areas usually require 90 pounds per 100 square feet. Be sure to broadcast the SuperStone Color Hardener evenly over the entire surface.

Trowelling: "Bull Float in" the Color Hardener. Do not broadcast the hardener over "puddling" water areas. The drying time prior to broadcasting on the Color Hardener is based on the humidity and temperature. If there are some low areas where puddling is still apparent, broadcast some of the Color Hardener over these areas to help them dry. The proper drying process is from the bottom up. DO NOT force dry the top surface with heat. Excessive trowelling may cause color to darken. Two applications are normally required for uniform coverage. The first application contains 75% of the color to be applied. Normal concrete finishing practices should be used to seat the color. The second application of the remaining 25% will complete the coloring process.

Color Hardener builds in color and durability and eliminates the cost of periodically painting the surface. The surface is more durable, resistant to weathering, freezing, thawing and scaling from de-icing salts.

SuperStone Color Hardener can be used :

• to enhance the appearance of floor or flatwork

• Shopping Centers, garages, parking lots,
• sidewalks, driveways, patios, pool decks, etc.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Applying water to the top of the drying colored concrete can cause color change variations. Color Hardener is not recommended where extremely heavy duty use such as steel wheel traffic is anticipated.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Contains Portland Cement. In the event of contact with the eyes, flush with water immediately. Call physician immediately. For the skin, flush the exposed area thoroughly.
